May 31, 2009 is World No Tobacco Day. This year's theme is Tobacco Health Warnings. Sweden has yet to implement stronger health warnings which include a picture or plain packaging. Read more

Exposure to tobacco displays harm our children and youth! In Sweden 30 000 youth start to smoke or use snus every year. One in three men and one in five women are addicted daily tobacco users. The majority will quit. Exposure to tobacco displays in stores has become the tobacco industry’s only possibility to advertise tobacco products. Youth are locked to start smoking and using snus and those that will get rid of their addiction are tempted when they shop. Read more |
